Sharni is a ray of sunshine, a breath of fresh air, free spirit and owner and founder of Follow the Sun. She has over eight years of yoga teaching experience, and is also an ILS Life coach, author, speaker and graphic designer. When not teaching yoga in beautiful outdoor locations, facilitating workshops, promoting her book, coaching individuals, inspiring corporate companies or creating new business ideas… she can be found traveling the world in search of happiness, beaches and inspiration, forever following her sunshine and sharing her journey with the ever growing ‘Follow the Sun’ Tribe.
Samantha is a trained teacher in a few disciplines, such as Vinyasa and Power Yoga, classical ballet, Pilates, personal training, as well as being a nutritional consultant through the Global College of Natural Medicine and having a BA in psychology. By incorporating all that she is passionate about she offers an incredible holistic contribution to your wellbeing and balance through her yoga sessions.
Marissa believes that anything and everything is possible and that being upside down truly can change your perspective on things! She’s on a mission to fully and joyfully embrace her own path, and support you in realizing your beautiful potential. As an IIN-certified Holistic Wellness Coach, an AcroYoga & yoga teacher, and an ILS Life Coach, she brings an open ear and an open heart to guide and support you on your unique journey to achieve your current and future goals.
Together with more than 9 years of Yoga teaching experience after completing Teacher Trainings with The Centre Yoga Meditation, Ananda Kutir Ashram and advanced her Teacher Training in Rishikesh, India with Jim Harrington, Juanita is not only our social media content editor but also the editor of the Yoga Awakening Africa online Yoga portal. With dedication, grace and integrity Juanita integrates her passion for Iyengar and Sivananda Yoga into her serene personal one-on-one yoga sessions with you.
Linci’s love for teaching yoga came from teaching kids yoga for the Earthchild Project where she supports and manages the volunteers and works as the Schools programmes manager. Her first Teacher Training was with the Africa Yoga Project in Baptist Power Yoga in Malindi, Kenya and recently she also completed her second TTC with The Shala in Cape Town. She believes that the gift we can give ourselves is to become connected, aware and share.
With a postgraduate degree in marketing, a marketing background in the health food space, and a passion for health and wellness, Kate embraces a holistic approach to wellbeing and believes in nourishing your body, mind and spirit with natural, energy rich nutrition, complimented by plenty of time outdoors connecting with nature. Meditation and yoga are also a big part of Kate’s life, which she believes brings her balance and harmony.
Coming from a background of Occupational Therapy where her focus was rehabilitation for adults who have suffered physical trauma, which inevitably results in a loss of meaning and purpose, is what empowered Tarryn to follow her dream of becoming an ILS Life Coach. Tarryn is passionate about supporting women living with ‘What Ifs’ and ‘If Only’ and being a partner along your journey to health and wellness.
Having worked in the corporate IT industry as a Project Manager for over 12 years in London and Cape Town, Candi has seen and experienced a lot of stress, long hours, pressure and change. Now, she has left behind the corporate world and embraced her love of health and wellness to empower you through your coaching journey to help you create a life that lights up your life and brings you joy. Candi is also our qualified ILS® Master Coach.
As a Registered Dietician and personal chef, Kelly is passionate about encouraging balance in life and making delicious, healthy food an essential part of that. She feels honoured to contribute her love and understanding of food and nutrition to the Follow the Sun offering. This is one of the ways that she is able to follow her own sun – doing what she loves and having fun on the job! ‘Food Yoga’ is Kelly’s philosophy, which means eating with consciousness of all the roles that food plays in our lives, and finding a balance that maintains optimum health without sacrificing enjoyment.
Katie is at her happiest when she’s participating in Follow The Sun activities such as yoga, workshops, Bali travels or being surrounded and inspired by the Follow The Sun Tribe. Now officially one of our Travel and Adventure Angels, Katie combines her passions for local and international travel, yoga, meditation, story telling, content producing, and travel blogging to share her inspiration with you.
After quitting her job as an Interior Architect and finding a life at sea, travel has inspired Bianca to live her dreams. She completed her Yoga Teacher Training in Nicaragua, and the following year her SUP yoga instructor course in San Diego. Yoga in nature, fitness, water, sunshine, travel and adventure are a few of her passions that she is inspired to share with you.
